Men's Ultralight Rain Jacket

3 reviews

Minimize bulk and maximize on-bike function. The Ultralight Rain Jacket performs just as well when it’s raining as when it isn’t. Threatening skies, foggy days, windy starts, and mountain descents are all fair game.

Caring for your cycling gear properly will extend its life and maintain its performance, fit and quality. Its important to consider these instructions carefully. While we stand behind the quality of our apparel, not adhering to these instructions will void our warranty against manufacturing & defects.

We strongly recommend washing your new gear before wearing it. Youll find that your apparel will soften, and fit & comfort will improve after washing - especially with bibs & shorts.

Machine wash cool, 86F (30C) with like colors: Cooler temps maintain better longevity for your apparel. Like colors, especially lights, will remain more vibrant when washed with like colors.

Use mild detergent. Do not bleach or dry clean: Strong detergents & bleach can break down the fibers and elastane in the garment, dramatically reducing its life.

Close all fastenings: this goes also for other garments mixed in with your cycling apparel. Velcro closures or clasps can catch on stitching or trim and damage your garments.

Lay flat to dry. Do not tumble dry: Do not put your cycling apparel in the dryer. Even on low heat. Dont do it. Heat can damage fabric, elastic and heat transfer logos very easily. Lycra (Elastane) is used throughout our garments to provide compression and support and is susceptible to damage from heat and can irreparably damage your apparel.

FAQ

How do your jackets fit?
Our jackets are patterned in the riding position, with a tight fit across the chest and arms with a more forward position. This is intentional to reduce flapping and extra fabric across the chest while riding. When standing, the jacket will feel tight across the chest, shoulders and torso. The arm length might appear long as well. However, the intended fit is tailored for on-the-bike positioning where the shoulders and torso no longer feel tight and the extra arm length hits the wrists in the appropriate spot. Constructed without extra fabric to flap around - it should fit tight over your jersey (with enough room for a long sleeve and base layer), but shouldn’t appear baggy. We select fabrics that have some elasticity to allow for freedom of movement even with a tailored fit to accommodate some range of fit within each size.

Ultralight Rain Jacket overview

The ultralight rain jacket is extremely comfortable when worn, it does the job perfectly in terms of protecting you when it rains. You do not get to hot when wearing it during long rides and it dry's quickly and is easy to pack away as it folds up small. I am really pleased with this purchase, wet weather cycling is a common occurrence in the UK so this product is a worthwhile purchase.

My Everything Jacket

For a jacket, the ULRJ is everything you need for wind, rain, or both at the same time. It works as everything and could easily be used for three seasons in most places. Perfect outer layer over a thermal jersey in colder regions during winter miles. I've worn it up to just over 50F/10C with a short-sleeved jersey underneath. I am 170cm (5'7") and bought the XS. It fits perfectly in the riding position and getting into my jersey pockets is easy.
